Sew Valley Education

Sew Valley aims to bring sewing education to the Ohio Valley area. Classes, workshops, and one-on-one learning will be offered regularly to anyone looking to expand their skills.

INTRO TO INDUSTRIAL SEWING

Saturday, April 20th
10:00am – 2:00pm

Saturday, June 8th
10:00am – 2:00pm

Join us for a one day class, perfect if you have some sewing experience and you want to broaden your skill set. In this class, you will learn the concepts of industrial versus domestic sewing, why these are vastly different, and when to know you need one versus the other.  You will learn how to use a straight stitch and zig zag machine, a three-thread serger, and iron. You will create a pillow with a zipper which you will take home.

From Idea To Product

To learn more about the Design and Production Processes and come to our bi-monthly educational seminar: From Idea To Product.

From Idea To Product is a bi-monthly information session where new designers with big ideas come to Sew Valley to ask questions, and learn the necessary steps required to make their ideas come to life. Over the course of this seminar, you will learn how the production process works, what is needed to get going, and the expenses that will incur over the course of the project.
